Day 3

The Chosen Fast
[Rather] is not this the fast that I have chosen: to loose the bonds of wickedness, to undo the bands of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every [enslaving] yoke? Isaiah 58:6 AMP

In this scripture, God is bringing correction to the people of Israel for the way they were choosing to fast. They were fasting out of an outward tradition, as opposed to a fast of the heart to see a true spiritual change. They would fast with their flesh, but argue with their words and their fists. They would observe the ritual, but neglect the cry for spiritual transformation.
When we fast, we are realigning the priorities of our life. More important than food, and more important than our own bodies, we seek the will of the Lord. This is what Jesus was talking about in Matthew 4:4 when He said, “’Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’”
I believe God is calling us, much like the people of Israel in the book of Isaiah, to come to Him in a chosen fast. He is calling us to return to His heart and seek Him for the loosening of bonds and freedom of the oppressed. Let this 40 day not become routine to us. Women of Victory Outreach, if ever there was a time to fast for our founders, pastors, homes, the GANG, and the lost, it is now.
Let us join in unity to see twilight treasures brought to Christ. Let our hearts cry out that the bonds of the drug addict be loosened. Let us fast to see new doors opened to our ministry like never before. And let us fight to see this great vision continue.

El Ayuno Escogido

¡No!
pongan en libertad a los que están encarcelados injustamente;

    This ministry is compose of men and women that are fighters, for against all odds this ministry has evolved into what is today, a ministry of the last days. These 40 days we are at war and we must fight together for our churches, our cities our families and our vision.

    For such a time is this…..Let us hear the cry of the lost passion for the hurting people of the world.

  3. I thank God for Victory Outreach, specially for the homes. If it weren’t for them I don’t know we’re I would be.. I was lost and bonded to drug addiction. But I see it this way lets take advantage of this fast. I’m not letting nothing stop me from fulfilling the call of God upon my life and family. Thank you sister Amanda Hudson for your encouraging words God Bless..
