Day 21

Mary or Martha Stewart

Luke 10:38-42

In this time of our 40 day fast God is calling us to remove all the distractions in our life. Our ministry is at a pivotal point, only those that relationships are priority with God, will understand where God is taking us. I can’t imagine having the creator in my house and not capitalizing on it.

Mary sat at Jesus’s feet listening to every word. By doing this she was assuming the role of a disciple. But Martha was distracted by all the preparations. Martha Stewart was going through her best recipes, and dusting off her best china. When it came down to it, JESUS wasn’t interested in what Martha was serving. He was interested in her relationship with him. Martha was all stressed out, in fact she gave Jesus attitude by saying lord you don’t care that my sister left me to do all the work by myself.

To many people are weary,  and giving up on God. Matthew 11:28-30 all those who labor and are Heavy laden, I will give rest.We are all busy and can become distracted by the things of this world, Family, work, and ministry. The devil knows if we stay busy with the things of the world, we can’t be about our fathers business.

We can be busy in ministry and think we’re honoring God, but the truth be told that too many Christians are just busy but have no relationship with God. God didn’t create us to be busy, he created us to worship him.. Mary was a worshiper, she understood the importence of being in relation with her creator.

How do we listen to Jesus today? What are the things that distract us from hearing Jesus? Who are you in a relationship with?

Dia 21

Maria o Marta

Lucas 10:38-42

¿Cómo escuchamos a Dios hoy?
